MAGIC WORDS
Figure 16. This invisibility and penetration talisman has an
occult appearance but not an infernal purpose. It is based upon
the research of Arthur Edward Waite in The Book of Ceremonial
Magic (191 ).
Common Magician's Applications: Vanishing and penetration. When
printed onto a silk in the form of an ancient talisman, Benatir Cararkau Dedos
Etinarmi can lend an ancient Egyptian mystique to any routine.
Bessen Berithen Berio
Origins: This phrase has been traced back to a creation myth of unknown
origin and date, found on a magical papyrus from late antiquity, likely from
Hellenized Egypt. "When [the Godhead] first laughed, light appeared and
its splendor shone through the whole universe. The God of the cosmos and
of the fire [was created]. Then: bessen berithen berio, which are magic
words." -- Marie-Louise Von Franz, Creation Myths (1972). "This is the one
and only creation myth where God laughs," Von Franz notes.
