MAGIC WORDS Za Za Origins: Za Za (or Za) is a magic name of Hebrew origin, mentioned in Magic Spells and Formulae by Joseph Naveh and Shaul Shaked (199 ). Facts: Za Za is part of a Runic chant discussed in The Runes Workbook by Leo D. Wild (2004). Zabar, Kresge, Caldor, Wal-Mart Facts: This is a spell that conjures zombies (actually names of discount retail markets), chanted by cartoon character Bart Simpson in the episode "Dial Z For Zombies"1 of The Simpsons television series. Zabba Facts: Zabba is another name for Zenobia, a legendary queen of Arabia. As a magic word, zabba is used as a variation of abba.
